God brought Israel out of Egypt with a mighty hand. Their redemption was glorious and remained a testimony for generations. Having lifted them into a new status according to His promise to their fathers, He gave them a charge about the kind of people He wanted them to be. Israel made a covenant to align their lives with God’s vision for them. Similarly, over the past three years, God has lifted us from the valley onto the mountain top of all-round greatness. We praise His name for this. Today, He is giving us a charge to be a peculiar people unto Him. This demands individual and corporate commitment.
